Unless the LORD builds the house...
In January of 2005, the Church purchased a plot of land in the town of Manyatta, Kenya with the intention of building a future building to serve as a meeting hall, church office and school for the orphans, among other uses. In early 2006, we broke ground. And now in 2009, despite rising costs and numerous obstacles, it is very near completion.
This is the first (and so far, the only) picture of the almost-finished,
new Great Commission Church of God building!

With world news being dominated by the economy, it is no wonder that most people are unaware that Kenya is in the midst of a severe famine, caused by several years of erratic rainfall, resulting in extreme drought and crop failure. This is affecting the brethren of the Church. People are dying from starvation.
